1. Overview & Philosophy

Vrishix is a personal technical publication and engineering platform authored and maintained by Parthiv Gupta. We respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal data, employ invasive third-party ad trackers, or perform behavioral profiling.

2. Information We Collect & Store

  • Account Information: When you register as a reader to bookmark, like, or comment on articles, we collect your email address, chosen username, and password hash (cryptographically hashed using Argon2id with salting; plain-text passwords are never stored or logged).
  • Comments & Discussions: Public comments you voluntarily post on articles are visible to other readers. They are sanitized server-side with strict HTML safety controls to prevent script injection.
  • Bookmarks & Saved Articles: Articles you bookmark are stored privately in your account. They are not visible to other readers or public profile visitors.
  • IP Addresses & Security Logs: Client IP addresses are processed strictly in ephemeral memory and Redis for atomic rate-limiting (preventing brute-force login attacks, comment spam, and denial-of-service abuse). They are never shared or combined with third-party tracking databases.

3. Cookie Disclosure

Vrishix utilizes strictly essential cookies:

  • refresh_token: An HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict session cookie used solely to securely refresh your authenticated reader session without exposing tokens to browser JavaScript.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or commercial marketing pixels.

4. Infrastructure & Data Storage

Platform data is stored in PostgreSQL and Redis hosted in secure containerized environments. Media uploads and static assets are distributed via Cloudflare R2 / S3 object storage with CDN caching headers.

5. Your Rights & Contact

You may update your profile details at any time from your account settings. If you wish to delete your account or have inquiries regarding your data, please contact the author directly at parthiv@vrishix.in.
